Hold onto your design hats, folks! Figma isn’t just helping you whip up wireframes anymore—they’re venturing into the realm of AI with an app maker that sounds straight out of a sci-fi flick. According to the ever-reliable security researcher Jane Manchun Wong (seriously, if she were a superhero, she’d be called “The Leak Maker”), this new tool will accept a variety of inputs like text prompts, Figma files, and images to whip up designs faster than you can say ‘pixel-perfect’.

Powered by Anthropic’s Claude Sonnet model (yes, big words, I know), this AI could revolutionize how we think about design. Imagine typing a few keywords and, voilà, your next app appers out of thin air, minus the magic wand. Or worse, it may generate something that looks like it was designed by a caffeinated raccoon.

But that’s not all! Wong also teased the possibility of ‘Figma Sites’—another shiny addition to your design toolbox that sounds suspiciously like a social media site for overly ambitious sketch artists.

So will this AI app maker elevate your designs or will it create a chaos mess worse than your last family reunion? Only time (and possibly several pokes at the ‘refresh’ button) will tell. Are you excited about designing with AI, or do you think it’ll just be a fancy way to procrastinate?
